Company ProfileATEL Industrial Control System Ltd was found in 1992 by associated professor Krum Lyubenov. The company is specialized in design and engineering of equipment and systems for control of technological processes, generally related to the mining industry. The manager of the company is educated at Technical University in Sofia, department of Automatics. He is an associated professor at University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilsky” – Sofia, department of Industrial Automation. In the past 18 years he works at Institute “NIPRORUDA” as head of department Automation Design and Engineering. During the period he lead the development of working projects for automation control of technological lines in “Assarel” mill with PLC’s Omron, participated in the implementing of automation of technological processes in ore dressing factories “Erma reka”, “Vurly Briag”, “Chelopech” and “Elatsite”, develop working project for automation of department “Middle and Fine Crushing” in “Elatsite” mill with PLCs. The company has high skilled staff and most of them are lecturers in University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilsky”, Technical University in Sofia, University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridsky” and others. In the last years the team of the company is working hard to master and experience the huge possibilities that come with the industrial software of General Electric Fanuc Automation – Proficy Machine Edition, Proficy HMI/SCADA Cimplicity and the new generation of GE Fanuc’s general purpose programmable logic controllers.
At the end of 2003 ATEL has finished the working project for Information and Control System of the Milling Process in Ore Dressing Factory “Elatsite Copper”. The informational – control system of the 1st Mill Aggregate was implemented at the end of 2004, and has passed the 72 h. tests and began exploitation. Up to this moment the 1st Mill Aggregate is produced more than 1 million tons of ore in automatic regime. We are facing the implementation of automation systems for control of the other 9 mill aggregates in the factory. ATEL company is also invited to design and develop automation projects for other technological processes in mining and ore dressing entertainment “Elatsite Copper” JSC.
